What is the concept of creative destruction?

Faisal Hoque talks about the creation of the concept of creative destruction which was coined in the 1940’s. He discusses how the concept didn’t really catch on them but that it is applicable in today’s world where we often need to creatively destruct to move forward. He provides the example of GE which had to destruct or reinvent themselves to stay afloat as an organization.

What is the best way to stay ahead of your competitors?

Faisal Hoque provides his recommendations for staying ahead of the competition as an entrepreneur or a business leader. According to Hoque, you need to look at what happened in the past, what is happening now and what is likely to happen in the future and then connect the dots. He discusses the importance of being aware of what is going on outside one’s organization including keeping an eye on one’s competitors.

What are the ways for leaders & entrepreneurs to get in touch with their authentic self?

Faisal Hoque talks about the need for leaders and entrepreneurs to have a deep understanding of themselves including who you are at the core of your being. According to Hoque, without authenticity, you cannot see where you want to go or influence others as a leader.

Faisal Hoque defines the term skillfully ignorant and explains how this interferes with one’s ability to be present and open to new ideas. He talks about how it is essential to put down your biases and make a conscious effort to get out of your comfort zone to learn and embrace change.
